Subject: A Green Tree Python.
Camera: Nikon D7000.
Location: Ben Siegel Reptiles.
Date Taken: 04/03/14
Comment: Despite coming from two vastly different regions of the world, the Green Tree Python is often mistaken for the Emerald Tree Boa, likely due to a similar vibrant green coloring, and their shared method of hunting. By coiling themselves over tree branches these amazing snakes are able to strike at prey in an instant, while avoiding a potentially harmful (or fatal) fall by holding on to the branch tightly with their prehensile tail. Shot through glass. Print available at my SmugMug gallery!
